Sorry, I only read part of your question. A Paul Collins does show up in the 1830 Census in Lewis County, VA which later becomes a part of West Virginia. 2xxx1xxxxxxxx1xxxx1xxxxxxx That is 2 males under 5 years of age, 1 male in the of 20 and under 30 group, 1 female under 5 years of age and 1 female in the of 30 and under 40 group. There was also a Cline Collins, a William Collins and a George Collins listed on the same page of the 1830 census and an Isaac Collins listed on the page before. There is also a Paul Collins in the 1850 census 1850 Census - United States, State of Indiana, Wells County, Rockcreek Township, Page 352, enumerated October 25, 1850 by Isaac Covil (?) 33 33 Paul Collins 52 M Farmer Virginia Susan Collins 56 F Do William Collins 20 M Farmer Do John Collins 16 M Farmer Ohio It does not look like your Collins are related to my Ellen after all unless Christopher Collins is your Paul's father and my Ellen is somehow related to Christopher. There is a J.Christopher Collins listed in the 1810 Census in King George County, Virginia in the between 26 and 44 age group and there is a woman in the same age group. In the will of Elizabeth Maria Murdock Riding, his name is Christopher J. Collins. I hope this helps you. Notify Administrator about this message?
