Will of Thomas Batchellor, 1719
Posted by: Bonnie Simpson Valko (ID *****5709) Date: May 01, 2002 at 21:49:37

Since there isn't a family forum for the name, "Batchellor", I will post this query here.
Thomas Batchellor died April 15, 1719 and the will was probated Aug. 3, 1719. Thomas left 1/4 of personal estate and all of my land to my granson, John Morton: daughter, Ann Morton; wife Mary 1/4 of personal estate and she and my grandson, John Morton executors.
Ann Morton was the wife of William Morton of Orange Co.,VA. and John Morton, the grandson would die shortly after his grandfather's death.
I am seeking information on the Batchellor family of VA. Was Thomas Batchellor born in England or in the Colonies and who was his father? Hope there is someone out there who knows.
Sincerely,
Bonnie Simpson Valko
