I am searching for information about my great grandmother. Her name was Martha Crawley. She had 4 sons George, Jim, Cornelius and Clarence by a Plantation owner named Sanford (first name unknown). She also had 3 other children by a slave (name unknown) Frank, Mitty and Frances.
My grandfather George lived in Westmoreland County, in particular Montross VA. He was born in 1878 and died in 1954 and is buried at Siloam Baptist Church. He married Alice Tate and had 7 children, Ida, Bradley, George, Sylvester, Ruby, Walter, Hawthorne.
I am also interested in finding out more about Martha's other children. I also would like to find out about Sanford. Any info or leads would be appreciated.
