Washington County, VA Records - Hugh Johnson/Johnston
Posted by: Debbie Horine (ID *****6379) Date: August 01, 2011 at 13:36:48
  of 1953

I need to do some extentive research of the Washington County, VA records for a Hugh Johnson/Johnston who is in his 50's on the 1850 census. I need access to wills/probate records, deeds, marriages...etc. from the time period of 1790 to 1900. I am open to suggestions on how to proceed..is it better to hire a professional or are the majority of the records on microfilm that I can order??

This is my first time to "attack" a county in Virginia and each state, and some counties, are different on how to obtain information.

Thank you,

Debbie Horine
Springfield, MO
