I would like to correspond with anyone who has information on any Wallace who lived in Sullivan Co., TN and/or Washington Co., VA in the years 1795-1820. I am trying to find information about a William Wallace who bought and sold property in Sullivan Co., TN in 1809-1814. He was said to "be of Washington Co., VA" when he sold the property in Sullivan Co., TN in 1814. There is a William Wallis living in 1820 Washington Co., VA.
I need help in finding the parents of my husband's Great Grandfather, William Wallace, born 1801-1802 in VA, and who married in Lincoln Co., TN and then moved to Lauderdale Co., AL, where he died after 1887. I do know that my William Wallace, born 1801-1802 in VA, had a brother named Samuel, born 1795 in PA. The 1880 census for my William stated his father was born in Ireland and his mother in Pennsylvania.
Please help.
Ruby Wallace of Texas
