Greetings! Well, I'm not genetically connected to the Wm. H. Howard family that I know of - but am studing the 1850 census, Wash. Co VA to ferret out unknown female surnames... this includes Lydia's name and also the name of Susan/Susannah who married Henry Foran and about 185 others. Who did George/Joseph marry? I went back and perused early wills, deeds, etc. and it seems there was a very old Walter Warren, a brother of Basil/Bazil Warren; someone else said there was a George Warren there also. Seems to me that Lydia likely came out of that family somehow. Perhaps they did not exactly approve of her marriage to Wm. H. who was never a landowner (that I know of, that is)?
