Turner's late 1700's and early 1800's

We have come to a road block finding info on my great-grandfather James W. Turner born Jan. 20,1805 in VA. That's all we know. We have him marrying a Nancy Warwick in 1829 in Anderson County, TN. which part of that county will become Union County, TN in the 1850's. He died in Union County 1n 1882. Thank You in advance for any help.
