I am a decendent of William H. Cotton, Sr. My maternal great-grandfather, Albert Winston Cotton (son of Albert Richard Cotton and Adelene M Parsons born Dec. 18,1847 in Sussex County, Va., farmer and Civil War Veteran) was the grandson of William H. Cotton Jr. of Prince George County. I possess the will of William Cotton,Sr.(1787)and there is sufficient evidence to support this linage, although documented proof is non-existent before 1800.
