I would like to share the names of the slaves that I found in my ancestors will in the hopes that it may help somone else. I don't know how a person would go about researching the slave families but I will give all the information I have in hopes that it will help someone.
Nicholas Partridge will 1756, sussex Co. Va Will Book A page 46-47 Sussex Co. Virginia. Nicholas Partridge willed to his wife Mary Partridge, Tom and Amy, also the siblings of Sam and Pall. He bequeathed to his daughter Sarah Rosser any negro child raised to be four years old, if not tht , Negro winch called Amy. To his other daughter Elizabeth Atkins, a negro child called Bob at four years old or sooner if she thinks fit. I am working on the names of slaves that were found in Nicholas Son Wells, will 1791 Sussex Co Va as well but I ahve not finished trying to transcribe them. Hope this helps someone.
