Edward Smith, Sussex County, 1765

Is Edward Smith listed in the "reconstructed census" of Virginia for 1740 and 1760 the same Edward Smith "of Sussex County" who purchased land in Brunswick County in 1765 from Thomas Harrison and whose will was probated in Brunswick Co., VA, in 1772? If so, who were his parents?

The 1740 reconstucted census of Virginia has two references to Edward Smith in Orphans Accounts of Essex County. Does anyone have these records? If so, what information is contained?

Please email directly: Newgate2000@aol.com.

Any help appreciated.
