The will of Thomas Harris (born 1585?), located in Colonial Papers in Archives of London, filed by Colonial Governors . . . devised 200 acres to his only daughter, Mary Harris Ligon (born 1625), wife of Thomas Ligon and was to go to her male heirs only but in case of default to go to his only son, Wm Harris and his heirs forever (found in various postings).
The 1721 will of the widow of the William Harris (Jr?) below devised “land in England” which she obviously inherited from her second husband, William Harris, who predeceased her in 1721, Surry Co VA.
His father may been William Harris (Sr?) who died after 12 Mar 1667, or after June 1673, in Surry Co VA.
12 Mar 1667, William Harris bought land on Chipoakes Creek, Surry Co VA, which is just south of Hog Island, Surry Co

(No other Wm Hare or Hare was in tithables until 1687, 14 years after the 1673 Wm Hare)
It looks like he was William Harris, Sr., and he possibly died after June 1673 and before 10 June 1674; William Harris of Surry Co VA definitely died after 12 Mar 1667.
1674, Wm Harris (Jr?) was recorded as an orphan in Surry Co VA on 10 June 1674

Wm Harris listed with David Williams (Wm Harris, 16 in 1675, born 1659)
William Harris of Surry Co VA, born 1659, married first (unknown), married second Margaret Taylor, widow of Edward Taylor, in or after 1708. He and Margaret both died in 1721 in Surry Co VA, both left wills. Wm Harris' granddaughter, Mary, married Thomas Taylor, son of Edward and Margaret Taylor, and Thomas and Mary Taylor had at least one child, Harris Taylor. Harris Taylor was recorded in land deeds and left a will of his own (the only known descendant of William Harris, as Thomas Taylor was married more than once). Thomas Taylor also left a will.
