Jacob Colson was the son of John Colson of Henrico Co., Va. Around 1692 Jacob and his sister Martha were in court re: a cow that their deceased father John Colson had given Martha, but a neighbor had taken it and they had to go to court to get it back. Both testified.

A short time after that Jacob married and a few months later he was arrested for murdering John Bannister. The charges were dropped and Jacob and his family moved to Isle of Wight Co., VA.

I believe Isaac Colson was the brother of John.
