This is a re-post of the names from the wills of:
. my 5th G-Grandfather John Spencer of Albemarle Co., will written 1788 and
. his brother Abraham Spencer of Louisa Co., will written 1761
John Spencer will mentions children: John, Anna Maupin, Sally Maupin, Sharp, Rosannah, Mary, Abraham - The abstract of the will did not mention a son John, however, I found the will and it does mention a John as well as the others.
Abraham Spencer will abstract: 30 March 1761. Of Louisa Co. Frederickville Parish. Wife Lucy is bequeathed 400 acres of land in Bedford Co. during her life at her decease it is to be divided among three sons - Griffith, Abraham and John Spencer. Son John has not been baptized. Lands to wife all negros in Halifax County and all in Hanover Co. At decease of wife slaves to be divided among all my children - Griffith, Abraham, John, Susannah & Lucey.

Wit: Thomas Mitchell and Margaret Mitchell
Has anyone found proof of who the father of these brothers is? Abraham Spencer has been mentioned by another researcher. Have they been traced back even farther? Any indication that they may have been from the very early Spencers to Jamestown?
