Eleazer / Elizur BELL - b. 1771 in Virginia

I need some help. For years I've been looking for this individual without success. A family bible shows his birth to have been in 1771 and a later census shows his birthplace as Virginia.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to locate him. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

He married a Miss Mary Causey on 27 Jan 1805 in Effingham Co., GA. Eleazer Bell and a Jesse Bell were often both listed on land documents in Effingham Co. GA during the 1791 to 1796 time period. They had consecutive Land Lottery numbers in the Georgia Land Lottery of 1805. They both applied for and received "passports" from the Governor of GA, on the same day, to cross the Indian Lands in 1810.

I think Jesse Bell is either a father to Eleazer or an older brother. On some document, Jesse's wife is listed as "Ann". Jesse had about 5 children when he got the "passport" to leave Georgia.

Eleazer migrated to Amite Co., MS and died in that area on 7 Feb 1821. His children were: Jesse (1801); Ann Eliza (1805); William Jarvis (1809); Elizabeth Matilda (1810); and Cornelius (1819).

Notice the date of birth for the first child, Jesse. It's about 4 years prior to Eleazer's marriage to Mary Causey. I think he must have had another wife who died and he married Mary Causey to help him raise the young child.

I'm not very adept or knowledgable using computers to do research, as I don't know how to ferret out records. I'm no longer physically able to visit places to do research as I'm a heart transplant candidate and pretty well confined.

I will really appreciate any suggestions, advice, methods, sources.... assistance.... anything to help me to track this person down. He is my ggg grandfather and I've tried to locate him since sometime in late 1957. I don't have a lot of time left and really don't want to leave this unfinished or hanging... It really means a lot to me to track down the ancestors of this particular Bell Family Branch. I pretty well have Eleazer's descendants listed and will share them with anyone who asks.

Thanks for any help you can give me.
