Edward Thomas Berry was bCA 1682 in Surry (Co.) VA and married a Mary SESSOMS/SESHUNS, also born in Surry and about the same time as her husband. Mary's brother was known to be a JOHN SESSOMS. They emigrated into eastern NC ca 1702 and had land not far from Edenton NC (old Albemarle Co.). During the Tuscarora wars, Edward was killed in 1711. His wife lived a while longer but drowned along with two of their children. Two other children, John and Mary Berry, were made wards of their uncle, John Sessoms. If anyone has researched this line of Berrys or knows anything of them, please contact me. This may be my long-lost line and the "brick wall" I have been trying to locate for nearly six years. Can you help?
