Book: Landowners in 1815 in Surry Co VA.....Jesse Slade owned land 7 miles SW of the courthouse. (He was the only Slade listed for this county).

Surry Co Deeds, Wills, Etc Book 11 1778 - 1783 pg 365..........Inventory of Estate of Sarah Slade, decd., by Henry Moring, Capt. John Davis, Obediah Pyland and William Slade......24 March 1783.

Book 10A page 380......Inventory of Estate of Mary Slade, decd., recorded 28 June 1774.

Deed book 12, page 222......John Brown to Wm. Slade for 25 pounds current money....60 acres on north side of Walkers Road and bounded by Richard Drewry, Wm. Hart and Phillips........23 Oct 1786.

Deed book 12, page 91........The widow and surviving children of Wm. Pyland, decd., (viz Thomas P. Pyland, John Pyland, John Slade for daughter Lucy (Pyland) Sale, John Judkins for daughter, Mary (Pyland) Judkins and the widow, Mary Pyland) divide the esstate...recorded 22 March 1785.

1763....Benjamin Slade is a witness to a deed.
