Yes, Hog Island exists today. "To reach Hog Island, take Route 10 to Surry County. Near Bacon's Castle, turn onto Route 650 and follow it to the refuge. Hog Island Refuge
Route 650, Surry 757-357-5224" For more info on hog island do a simple internet search using the terms hog island virginia
