THOMAS KING, 180 acres in Surry Co VA

To all &c. Whereas &c. And Whereas a Certain tract of Land lying in Surry County Containing five hundred and thirty acres Late in the possession of GEO. WILLIAMS decd is lately found to Escheat to her sacred Majty from the sd. GEO WILLIAMS as by an Inquisition recorded in the Sec__ office under the hands and seals of WM RANDOLPH Esqr Escheator of the sd. County and a jury sworn before him for that purpose dated the 20th of July 1703 may appear for one hundred and Eighty acres of which sd. Land THO. KING of the sd. County had made his Composition according to the sd. ____ Know yee therefore that I the sd. EDWARD NOTT Esqr. Govr &c. do with the advice and Consent of the Councill of State accordingly give and grant unto the sd. THO. KING the sd. one hundred and Eighty acres of Land lying in the County foresd. & bounded (vizt) begining at a beech by a spring being the head of Besses swamp then South westerly five deg.s twenty pole to a small white Oake then South westerly Seventy three Degrees sixty Eight pole to a gumm then North thirty three degrees westerly two hundred twenty three pole to a red oak then North Easterly sixty degrees one hundred forty two pole to a small hiccory saplin then North Easterly sixteen degrees twenty six pole to a red oake by a small branch and soe down the said Branch East south East seventy six pole to Besses swamp and up the run of the sd. swamp to the first stacon To have and to hold &c. To be held &c. Yeilding & paying &c. Given under my hand and the seale of the Colony the 2d Day of May anno Dom 1706 EDW: NOTT
