A Scarborough line may have some kind of connection with the Atkinson line but I don't know what it is. Descendants use the Addison name frequently. Is this an alternate spelling?

I have Addison Scarborough b: Abt. 1754 NC       d: 1831 in Bishopville, Sumter District, SC; son of John Rasberry Scarborough and Nancy Watkins. John's parents were Maj James Scarborough and Penelope Rasberry. James' parents were David Scarborough and Sarah (no last name) who were in VA.
