DANIEL MONROE/MUNROW OF STAFFORD CO.VA

Hello, I have a problem. I am looking for information on Daniel Monroe/Munro/Munrow of Stafford County Va. He married a Sarah/Susan Stowell/Stovall. I tried to join the DAR under the Munro name and my application was returned because the Munro line has been closed due to much conflict with the Munro's of Stafford Co.Va. DAR has Daniel (Jr) dying prior to 1785 in Stafford Co. Va when in reality he migrated first to Kentucky then to Howard County MO. and was killed along the Santa Fe Trail in 1828. His father, Dan, SR my "patriot", who fought with the 1st Regiment of Foot in Maryland, is buried in Howard County Mo and it was the DAR who placed a huge monument on his burial site. He died in 1824. I know that Stafford county was one of the "burned" counties of Va and that it was created from Westmoreland Co, Va. My older cousins were allowed to join the DAR under the Munro name, but its totally messed up. If anyone has any wills, deeds, Bible records, I will gladly pay for the cost of photocopying and postage. I have been allowed to join under my Shepard family line, but I'd love to get this straightened out so that others can go into the DAR under the Munro name.
Many thanks, jeanie
