You are correct about the NGFS assigning the 1728 marriage of Margaret Grigsby to John Smith as being a daughter of Charles Grigsby son of Immigrant John Grigsby.
I am not so sure that that is correct.
There are three marriages of the Grigsby family from 1726 -1728 ---
Mary Grigsby to John Fewell in 1726
Benjamin Grigsby to Ann Foley in 1727
Margaret Grigsby to John Smith in 1728
No one has been able to place Mary Grigsby or Benjamin Grigsby. I suspect the three are brother and sisters.
Charles Grigsby son of Immigranr John Grigsby has a daughter named Margaret but while his other children are close to each other in age, none are
close to being as early as the Margaret Grigsby who married John Smith.
I am looking for any information that will shed light on the three 1726-1729 Grigsby marriages and their families (especially the parents of the three).

Don
