Dear Mr. Freeman,

I likely have far more questions for you than I can answer. The Atchisons are of interest to me and there are very few Stafford county records pertaining to them. One of my recent projects has been to abstract the Stafford County militia records. These span the years 1781-1856. There were several Atchisons included. Below is a list of their names. After each one is the year in which the man's name first appeared. In cases where I've given two years, it's because I feel it may be two different men with the same given name:

Henry 1826
James 1814, 1846
Jeremiah 1815
John 1825, 1846
Martin 1826
Nathan 1797
Rodney 1826
William 1828

Do you happen to know about any of these folks? I'm attempting to include brief biographical footnotes for as many of the militiamen as possible.

Sincerely,
Jerrilynn Eby
