I think it might be possible. There are two [2] Stanly Cemeteries on Church Pond Road. One has a very nice [I think it's brick] sign - for lack of a better word - with Stanley on it. The other cemetery is a bit further down the road on the opposite side that has no sign.

A few years ago, Mr. Bernard Stanley met us at the cemetery; he had been doing the upkeep on the Stanly portion, but knew nothing of the families on the left side [if you're facing the cemetery from the road]. He is the one who had the green chainlink fence put around the whole thing - our family's portion, as well.

I don't know what's happening out there now that Mr. Stanley has passed away - I believe last year. He had diligently kept his families portion in excellent condition.

I am - to my knowledge - not related to the Stanley family. My ancestors were Jacob Smith and Mary Josephine Robinson. Their homeplace was on what is now known as Smith Station Road. I'm not sure if it was named for my ancestors - probably not, since they were poor farmers. However, they, too, were members of Massaponax Baptist Church.

Thank you for taking the time to write.
