I am trying to locate where the father of my GGGGGgrandfather,Abraham Elliott b.1773-d.1845, came from. Our tree states that his name was William Elliott and that he left"....a pointe on the James river..." at the close of the French/Indian war(1760's) with his two brothers, Abraham, and Edward(Ned) to settle the Fort Pitt (Pittsburgh) frontier which was disputed at the time to be Virginia or Pennsylvania territory. Any Elliott information would be helpful. Thank You.
