Hi Listers,
Looking for info about Lewis A. Boggs b. 1812. I have the following info, but don't know which Boggs family he's connected to.

Thanks,
Caroline

1850 US Federal Census
Lewis A Boggs Eastern District, Spotsylvania, VA abt 1811 Virginia
Elizabeth R Boggs Eastern District, Spotsylvania, VA abt 1820 Virginia

Clara L Boggs Eastern District, Spotsylvania, VA abt 1847 Virginia
Ann H Boggs Eastern District, Spotsylvania, VA abt 1849 Virginia

Edward H Rawlings Eastern District, Spotsylvania, VA abt 1836 Virginia
H G Rawlings Eastern District, Spotsylvania, VA abt 1838 Virginia
Virginia F Lawrence Eastern District, Spotsylvania, VA abt 1837 Virginia

I think Mary J. Boggs b. 1833 is probably the daughter of his first wife Eliza Hart who may have died during or shortly after childbirth. Elilza H. Boggs b. 1839 is probably the daughter of his second wife Mary A. Scott whom he married in 1837. By 1847 he is probably married to Elizabeth Rawlings.

I believe Absalom and Celia are old slaves that Lewis Boggs kept as part of his household.
