ELLIS/RAINEY > 1850

I am looking for the marriage of Roena or Roeanna RAINEY dau. of Thomas C. RAINEY of
Southampton County, VA. In the 1850 census she is found there in the home of her father (age 30) and his wife Mariah J. RAINEY, 29, at the age of 7, along with Euphomia,12; Mary A., 10; and Thomas C., 4.
At some point she leaves Va and moves to Northampton County, NC. She had one child about 1865 named Thomas Rainey. She then apparently married an ELLIS, possibly named Joseph John, known as Joe. She had another son who was also named Joseph ELLIS. Joe is said to have left her and moved to Virginia where he began another family. (In all fairness, she is said to have been one hateful woman!)
I am wondering if Joe is related to the ELLIS' found in the 1850 Southampton Cnty. census.
Although he isn't listed there, it is a coincidence.
I am interested in any info on these families. THANK YOU!
