Am looking for the parents/grandparents of Mills L Gray and Jane E Pope of Southampton County Va. Mills and Jane were married 20 Apr 1829 in Southampton. Their children were James J, Robert T, John L, George W, Mills R, Thomas H, Mary Jane, Roberta Chasey, Elizabeth B, Littleton S, and Susanna Gray.
The 1866 Virginia death record for Mills L Gray says his parents were William and Polly Gray. Does anyone have additional information on William and Polly.
Believe that Lawrence Pope may have been Jane's brother, but am hitting the brick wall on figuring out her parents.
My husband is descended from Mills' daughter, Roberta Chasey Gray who married Benjamin Wadson Pulley in March 1866 in Southampton County.
