Greetings Pam:

St Clair is a community named from the creek, St. Clair's creek, that flows into the South Fork of Holston river, about 2.5 miles south east of Chilhowie, in Smyth Co, Virginia. The community is often referred to as St Clair's Bottom, for the flat land along the creek and river. Riverside is another community name nearby, also along S. Holston. Marion is the county seat of Smyth Co, Va.

Regards
