Boy's Pig Club of Shenandoah Co. VA 1919

My mother has a picture of the "Boy's Pig Club of Shenandoah Co. Va." dated Sep. 26th 1919. It contains a teacher/leader and 14 boys plus a baby girl being held by her brother.

Elmer Lee Cooley, my grandfather, is in the picture. Some of the other last names are Hoover, Swartz, Bowman, Logan and Wetzel. At one time there was a list of all the names, but it appears to have been lost over the years.

Do you know anything about this club? It was supposedly pre-4*H-FFA. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank-you!
