Would like to find male descendant(s) of Thos C. Templeton (1833-1858). Thos C. was a brother of William Farley (1827-1922) & John D. (1830-1903). Thos died in Templeton Valley of Pneumonia. If you're descended from Tommy Templeton who used to run Templeton Ford back in the 50's then you're descended from Thos C..
Would like to find direct male descendant(s) of John D. &/or Thos C. willing to take a YDNA test as part of our Scott Co. Templeton Family History study. I've got 4 of Wm Farley's descendants (Including me) and one descendant of Wm, John & Thos' great uncle James M. who migrated to MO & then on to TX in the 1850's.
So far our paper trail & YDNA tests tie us back to Pittsylvania Co, VA via Iredell Co, NC & probably back to Scotland via tidewater VA.
Hoping to have more good news to share at the Templeton Family Reunion over in Manville this summer. Come on & help find our roots. (Tests only consist of using an oversized Q-tip to swab inner cheek) If interested contact me @
