Katharine, this is Regenia Campbell. You posted a reply to a message I sent back in 2003. Ellsworth is my grandfather on my mom's side of our family. According to one of my aunts Ellsworth had a brother George and a brother Elmore and 2 sisters Luvinda and Luchile. She was unsure of the correct spelling of the sisters names.
Ellsworth married Mazella Couch in 1918.
My mom Ida Mae Barnette was one of their daughters.

Ellsworth was the son of William Morgan Barnette and Cynthia Bethany Ramsey.

Ellsworth was born 7-7-1888 and died December 1963 in Russell County Castlewood Va.
Mazella Couch was born 6-12-1900 and died March 1983 also in Va.
They are buried at Gravel Lick Old Regular Baptist Church at the Church Cemetary. Gravel Lick Castlewood VA. My mom is also buried there. She passed away in 1967 but was living in Florida at the time.
I hope I haven't rambled on. I am having such a difficult time finding anything on the Barnette. My aunt thinks William may have been from Ohio and moved to Virginia. Cynthia Bethany Ramsey was born in Virginia.
I have run on way too long!!!!
Thanks
Regenia
