Let me know if you get this posting. I think that I have an idea of where your Rays come from. If I am right, then the name is also spelled Rhea...

There was a Joel Rhea and a John Vermillion who lived next to Lewis Wilburn in Claiborne co TN in 1833. This is the same Lewis b 1802, whose son Rueben m Celia James from Carter KY...

At any event, the Jesses family and Vermillion family were related many times. And the Wilburns fit in somewhere.

I have been trying to piece together these connections and your postings are very helpful. I'm pretty sure that I am picking up the right trail.

So let me know if you get this.
