I think there might be a connection. I am looking for info on an Ephraim Sexton from Russell County, VA. Do you have any other siblings names? I show a Hulda, John, Martin, Stephen, Nancy. My grandfather is Ephraim is my grandfather and I also know nothing about him. Have searched records in Grayson County, VA. Records indicate he was living there during the civil war. He would have been five years old. His father was Eli and he fought in the Civil War in the 51st and had a brother named Levi who also fought in the war. I think Ephraim probably left Fries in 1861 or shortly thereafter. At some point he married an Amanda Nunly and had James, Frank, Sam and John.
