Garland N. Robbins (or Garland Hurt Robbins)

Hello, I am looking for any information about Garland N. Robbins and prior family history in Virginia, specifically Russell Co. I know he was born in 1822 and married Cynthia Leutitia Belcher in the 40's or 50's and had 5 children before coming to Missouri. They supposedly lived near William and Susan McGraw / Robbins and William and Celia Robbins while in VA. All of my family tree info states that his name was actually Garland Hurt Robbins, but no info on his parents or anything. I checked the 1850 census for Russell Co. and it appears to me that it is an N. which would explain the brick wall. Odd thing is he attended the estate sale of a Garland Hurt in VA and purchased several items, but no relation can be found. After he moved to MO, we didn't keep census records then. Any help appreciated!!! Would be awesome to find family that never left VA too.
