Thanks for that web site. I have seen that site before, but never really explored it much. I went to the Jonathan Hale Cemetery and saw a John Hale born 1805 and died 1883. My gg grandfather according to my g uncle William Hale was born about 1806 in or near Abingdon, Washington County, VA. According to the Guion Miller Roll application of my g uncle his father (my gg grandfather) died 1887, my g grandfather stated that John Hale died 1880. I don't think either application named a place of death. I wonder if this John Hale buried in Jonathan Hale Cemetery is my gg grandfather?
