I haven't had a chance to check on your line but if your husband is interested - I can put you in contact Pat Meguire who heads up the DNA study.
The tests start at $100 and go up depending on the number of markers tested. But before doing the test - let's see if we can connect your McGuire's to an earlier line. There were several families in NC c1815.
