This list exactly where he is supposed to be
While there can you see if a wife is listed

The last wife was named Mrs Bettie Hough

(Elder) G F H Crockett marriage notice in 5 Sept 1861 edition of "Religious Herald", to Mrs. Bettie Hough, by Elder S P Morton. The newspaper was published at Richmond, VA, served mostly Baptists living in Virginia. How he managed to elude the census taker is a puzzle, but I cannot find a clue of where he was in the 1860 US Census.

Harrisonburg Rockingham Co VA
Woodbine Cemetery, section 004, row 013, Crocket G. F. H., Dr. 16 Jul 1864 Aged 72, of North Carolina Masonic emblem (Harrisonburg, VA, Rockingham Historical Society, Rockingham County Tombstones by Cemetery)
