John Henton, b: 1784 in Virginia moved to Ohio

I am blindly searching for any information that might lead me to the parents of John Henton. John was born July 4, 1784 in Virginia. Who was his family? Where they from Rockingham? His daughters obituary only says that"her father, John Henton, was from a well to do family in Virginia".

At some point John moved to Licking Co., Ohio and I have reason to believe he married a Rachel Claypole (Claypoole, Claybaugh) in 1816 in Licking Co., Ohio. This information comes from Early Ohio marriages. Rachel born in Va. as well and she died in Ohio bet. 1836-1840. Last child born 1836 and she is not on 1840 census.

Their home was in Amanda Township, Licking Co, Ohio where all of their 5 children born: Anna, John, Rachel, Thomas, and Isaiah.

Between the years 1851 and 1860 John moved to Shelby Co., Illinois where one son was living. Also a son in Moultrie Co., Ill.

Anna Henton the oldest daughter married Henry Miller Keller which is where I descend.

Anyone have any information that can help me track down the parents of John Henton or his wife, Rachel Claypoole family in Virginia.

I am associated with the Abraham Miller family from Rockingham and wonder if these families knew each other and migrated to Ohio near the same time.

Thanks for any help.
