Hello, Karen. Thanks for your reply. Yes, I had previously checked the website you mentioned; and I found the birth/baptism records for three of Jacob and Christina Niebel's children there. However, I would like to be able to find additional church records for Jacob's parents, Johannes (John) and Catherine Niebel (death records) and birth and marriage records for his siblings who were born in Rockingham County. I think there is a good possibility that all of these records are within the Frieden's Church records.
Johannes and Catherine Niebel lived in York, Pennsylvania prior to moving to Rockingham County about 1790. Jacob, Anna Maria and Heinrich Niebel were children born in York, PA. There is quite a bit of confusion in postings on Ancestry.com and the Mormon website as to the births and dates of children born in Virginia, as opposed to the dates of the children born in York, PA.
I've been thinking about trying to find a researcher in Rockingham County to check some of the records for me. Can you recommend any good, reasonably priced researcher? Thanks.
