Have you tried to contact the Harrisonburg City library and the Staunton City Library? Harrisonburg Library would have Rockingham Co stuff in it- Since the courthouse burnt during the Civil War, the library has been calling on the community to donate information they know is correct. They have an awesome collection with reputable resources. From genealogy books to journals, etc. Staunton City and Augusta County libraries would have a wealth of information- I went there personally last year, and found alot of stuff for people. I would try the Harrisonburg Library- at least, the lady that's in charge of that section could at least point you in a direction! Lacey Springs is a beautiful area.
