Bill the following information comes from "Early Church Records of Rockingham County Virgina" by F. Edward Wright -
The following children were baptized in "Agoste" (Augusta) County at the "Pinquit Moundyn" (Peaked Mountain), towards the South "Chanithor" (Shenandoah), in this church at the Mill Creek, or in their homes: (pg. 13)
Anna Maria Hammer of Jacob and Fredericka Rosina, nee Leuthmanns Leonhard, bapt. July 2. Spon: Gottfried Christian Leuthmanns Leonhardt, the Lutheran schoolmaster and wife Anna Maria.
There is nothing further on Leonhardts in this book but an Isaac Hammer married a Susanna Bowman on August 11, 1795, the information comes from the "marriages in Rockingham County" section in the back.
Also from early church records:
Baptisms entered by Rev. Jacob Frank:(pg. 18)
Margaret Runckel of Peter and Margaret, b. April 4, 1776. Spon: Mathias Kersch and Margaret.
Baptized June 16, 1783 by Rev. Mr. Schmidt: (pg. 19)
Frederick Ronckel of Lewis and Catherine, b. February 15. Spon: Frederick Hene and wife.
On pg. 21 - a list of baptisms by "Rev. Mr. Ronckel" in 1786.
There is nothing further on Runkel/Ronckels in this book.
From "Rockingham County Marriage 1778-1850" by John Vogt and T. William Kethley Jr."
