Need a marriage/divorce lookup EDWARDS Rockbridge County, VA

I'm looking for a marriage record and divorce record on the same person, George Edwards. He is the son of Martin George Edwards and Frances/Francis Stockdale/Stogdale. He married in about 1847ish, but I do not know to who. When he remarries in 1856, he says he is divorced. He has a daughter born in 1847, I'm guessing he had to get married at about the age of 17 or 18, which would be about 1847. Can anyone look up the marriage and also see if there is a divorce in Rockbridge County? Thank you. Best regards, Conita Williams conita@cox.net
