Hello, my name is Terry and I am trying to find some infomation on an ancestor for a friend of mine. I have researched as much as I know and am in need of further help.
Is there anyone who could help me?
John A. Johnson was born July 14, 1814 in Rockbridge County, VA.
I found a 1810 census with a Alex Johnson age-26-44 in Rockbridge. He is the only Johnson found in that county in that year. I feel this could very well be John A.'s father.
I est. that Alex would have been married around 1800 (has 5 children under 10 yrs in census).
If he was about 20 yrs old when he married, then that would make him born about 1776-1780.
John A. married in either VA or TN, most likely just before 1843 when his oldest son was born-1843, TN.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
