Still looking for information on my McClure Family that are from Arnold Valley, Rockbridge County, Virginia. A couple of obituaries state that this is their birthplace.
However, I can't find any confirmation that their father, Samuel McCluer and mother Sarah Unknown were ever in the area. Several children were born there, possible as early as 1792 until 1807.
I've looked at other McClure families in the area until I'm cross-eyed, but cannot pin any down to the Arnold Valley that could be linked to mine.
Transient I suppose.
