Elizabeth, Wm ELLIOTT, Sr. is the one b.12 Jul 1699 in Ulster Province IRELAND. He and Margaret Graham had 6 C's, #2 being Wm. Jr. b. abt 1722 in VA. Is this the Wm your line comes from or is it the Wm born of Sr's. ist child...James Elliott m. Martha Risk 26 Jan 1769 and they produced 10 C's, the 7th was Wm b. 8 Feb 1783 in VA d. 1834 in OH...or was it Wm sr's 4th son Archibald whos 1st C was Wm. b. 1763 in VA and d. 1832 in NC......to shorten the story just go to http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=REG&db=fdjuhnke&id=12004 or if you're leary of doing that just go to RootsWeb.com, go to Family Trees at top of screen and go on to "Hayes and Elliott Ancestry" for the entry by Dianne Juhnke of 16 Aug 2005 - click on Individual and get the wonderful GedFile she has downloaded with Wm Sr. down to 190 people...including Isaac Bartly ELLIOTT by Jason Elliott by Wm Elliott(Jr)by Archibald by Wm Sr. and Isaac's spouse Ruth A. Laney w/6 C's (#1 b. in NC the rest in TN - and one had to be a Wm.) I have had this for a little over 2 weeks and so far can document all in my line follows Wm Sr's son Archibald to son Wm. to Middleton Cheeves Elliott b. 2 years after Jason from this Wm......and Middleton had 8 C's by Tabitha BURTON from MS (1 b. in MS, the rest in AR) This is getting interesting. So Cuz, see you on hwy 25 near Oak Ridge (Energy Co??)...we were just thru there last Sept.....went to VA/NC/SC/GA/TN hittin libraries and grave yards + courthouses. If U prefer EM me direct.
