Seeking your help in identifying parents of Joseph LAVENDER, whose life is reflected in the following Census returns:

0. Joseph LAVENDER (b August 1814 in VA; d 1902 Scott Township, Kosciusko Co IN)
married (30 March 1837 in Franklin Co. VA) to Catherine NAFF (b ca 1816 in Franklin Co VA; d 15 March 1870 near Nappanee, Elkhart Co., IN)
[Nappanee is just across the border from NW Kosciusko Co IN in SW Elkhart Co IN]

7. Obituary for Joseph LAVENDER indicates he died at the age of 87 from heart disease, in Scott Township, Kosciusko County, Indiana, at the home of his son, Calvin Lavender, just across the border fron Nappanee, which lies in the southwest corner of adjacent Elkhart County.
