I'm searching for the parents of William Wright who
was born September 2, 1840 in Virginia; possibly
the Roanoke area.
I understand that he was part Irish and part Cherokee.
He was living in Iowa when he enlisted in the Civil War October 23, 1861; and when he married Mary Jane Murphy August 16, 1866 in Madison County, Iowa.
In 1881, William and his wife were living in Nebraska.
Their daughter Myrtle was born in Nebraska; they had
several sons who were born in Iowa.
If you have any information about him, it would be
appreciated.
