It is a coincidence since I used to live on Maiden Lane!
As you must know, the area of Mudlick is very hilly.
It would be great if you could find the three oak trees growing from one root, wouldnt it?
I also need to go to the courthouse to do some research. I went there once (Roanoke city) and all their deed books and everything were all over the place, not put back in any of the slots --in no order whatsoever. I asked the people working there what was going on and they acted surprised like all court records rooms must operate like that. The women told me I had to just look around the room until I found the book I needed. YUCK I left without looking up anything.
Remember, you may find this info in Roanoke County records, but also check Roanoke City just in case.
