Would appreciate help in finding death date of James R. Colston, WWI Veteran who died in the Roanoke, VA Veteran's Hospital. He was from Hamilton Co., TN (East Lake); his body was shipped to Decatur Co., TN (Dickson) for burial, do not know the funeral home. He has no marker, need death date to order a Military Marker for him.
It is said he was gassed during WWI which ruined his health, he spent the better part of the rest of his life in the Veteran's Hospital in Roanoke.
Any help in this quest will be appreciated.
