Inez M. Bennett, age 77, of 2569 Inglewood Rd. SW died Wednesday at a local hospital. She was a member of the Windsor Hills United Methodist Church. Survived by her husband Gardell L. Bennett; three sons, Robert L. Bennett of Pittsfield, Mass., Charles P. Bennett of Virginia Beach, and Gary W. Bennett of Roanoke; stepdaughter, Delores Munn of Mendham, NJ; seven grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren. Services will be held at Oakey's South Chapel, 12 noon Friday, with the Rev. C. Bailey Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Burial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's South Chapel.

Gardell Lee Bennett, age 86, of Roanoke, died September 4, 1990, in a local hospital. He was retired from General Electric where he served as an Electrical Engineer for 48 years. He was a member of the Elfuns and the Windsor Hills United Methodist Church. Surviving are three sons and daughter-in-laws, Robert and Phyllis Bennett, Pittsfield, Mass.; Charles and Dawn Bennett, Va. Beach; Gary and Mary Bennett, Roanoke; daughter, Delores E. Munn, Mendham, N.J.; grandchildren, Deborah Bennett, Bonnie Bennett, both of Calif.; Jeff Bennett, Hartford, Conn.; Susan Stein, Chicago; Laura Byrum, Va. Beach; Michael Bennett, Va. Beach; Brian Bennett, Roanoke; great-grandchildren, Amber and Ashley Latoof, both of Calif. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's South Chapel at 12 noon Saturday with the Rev. D. Michael Meloy officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's South Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
